Classic Vegan Tartar Sauce

Serves: ¾ cup
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons very finely chopped shallots
  • 1 tablespoon capers, drained and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh herbs, preferably a mix of parsley, tarragon and chives
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar, I like using malt vinegar, but cider vinegar, white wine vinegar or lemon juice would all be great
  • 1 teaspoon whole grain mustard
  1. Combine all the ingredients. Season with a little salt and freshly ground black pepper.
